This week's poem is from Mrs. Clare's fourth grade classroom. It's Langston Hughes, who is normally not my favorite, but this is nice.
And here's the view of my backyard taken last night. It's getting better.
April Rain Song
Langston Hughes
Let the rain kiss you
Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops
Let the rain sing you a lullaby
The rain makes still pools on the sidewalk
The rain makes running pools in the gutter
The rain plays a little sleep song on our roof at night
And I love the rain.
It is getting better, isn't it? I heard that the forecast for Easter is--fingers crossed--a high of 60! What a blessing that would be.
ReplyDeleteKeeping in mind our coffee date. It's a bit crazy, all this Easter planning while being HUGE with child, but I'll get there. I just need to keep battling my placenta brain on an hourly basis. :)
