Reminds me of a story of one of my children at 2 1/2. We were having a dinner party with several friends and one of them had brought a cheesecake, which was sitting on the back counter in the kitchen. As I finished preparing the meal and talked with friends, the little one kept coming to me and saying "I ate CHEESE". Preoccupied, I repeatedly responded with a "That's nice, honey", until we all sat down to eat. When the time came to serve the wonderful dessert, I discovered that to a toddler, "cheese" is synonymous with "cheesecake", and he had proceeded to take a single bite out of the back edge of all 12 pieces. Good thing the dinner guests all had a sense of humor and really loved cheesecake.
Somebody likes the white parts!
